Hell Hole Inc. (“we,” “us”) is the nonprofit that runs the Hell Hole Swamp Festival, the Steel Shed rental and our community events. This page explains what personal information this website collects and how we use it. Questions? Email info@hellholeswampfest.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you type into our forms:
- Contact form: your name, email address and message.
- Event, pageant, parade and participation forms: your name, email, phone number, details about your entry (for example contestant name, age or division, vehicle or group information) and a typed-name signature agreeing to the event terms or waiver.
- Steel Shed rental requests: your name, email, phone number, the dates and type of event, expected attendance, and any details you provide.
If you enter information about a child, such as a pageant contestant, we expect that a parent or guardian is submitting it.
How we use it
We use your information to run the event or rental you signed up for: confirming your entry, scheduling, sending payment links and receipts, reminders, and contacting you if something changes. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who sees it
- Hell Hole Inc. volunteers and organizers who handle the event or rental.
- Google Workspace, which delivers our email, including form notifications and confirmations.
- Square, if you choose to pay online. Payments are made on Square’s own secure page. We never see or store your card number. Square’s privacy policy applies to that payment.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising or analytics trackers. WordPress sets a login cookie only for our staff and volunteers who sign in. Our forms and booking calendar may set a short-lived cookie needed for them to work.
Security and how long we keep it
The site uses HTTPS, and access to submissions is limited to our staff and volunteers. We keep form and rental records as long as we need them to run our events and for our own records, and then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information you gave us by emailing info@hellholeswampfest.com.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
